After the great success of our trip in 2016 we will again do two Adventure Camping Tips to Bar al Hickman in 2017. Be one of 10 Pioneers and go where no other commercial kite trip ever has been before.
During the guided self-driving tour, for a duration of 7 days / 6 nights, we will visit hidden and untouched spots and rip the water where no other commercial kite trip has ever been before. A small group of no more than 10 participants promises an exclusive Kite Journey.
Enjoy the most beautiful lagoons of Oman and the famous strong winds of 25 to 40 knots. Perfect flat water spots with lengths of 3 to 5 km and water temperature of 25 degrees or more: The cherry on the cream of perfect kite spots. The impressions of Kiting in the Gulf’s unique, most appealing and secure country will get under your skin while you are dining under the stars in an unforgettable pure environment.
One experienced VDWS Instructor and one kiting and Off-Road Expert Omani, will guide you through the trip and make sure you are in the best possible hands during that Kite Adventure and can benefit from our rich local knowledge. You will sleep in heavy duty expedition tents which make the night pleasant even in strong winds. Your place in a shared tent, food and drinks (non-alcoholic), and basic camping sanitary facilities will be provided.
Price per person: 260.- OMR
Rental Car (4×4) need to be arranged by the participants and is not included in the rate above. Of course we will help to arrange car sharing on request.

Journey to The Great Lagoons of Bar al Hickman:
Departure: Sunday 9:00 Muscat
Arrival: Saturday 20:00 Muscat
Car: 4×4 is mandatory
Location: 400 km from Muscat. Alternative meeting point at 13:30 for individual travellers 50 km off the final spot.
Additional Options:
- Beginners Workshop “Fit4Kite” (min 22 hrs of tuition – 4 persons max): 301.- OMR per person
- 4 hrs refresher course: 103.- OMR per person, max 4 persons.
- 7 days of gear rental: 173.- OMR per person.
The mentioned departure times for the guided journey are mandatory. Extended travel efforts caused by not showing up has to be covered by the participant.
